Ai Font Detector is a free typographic utility designed to identify letterforms and provide lookalike alternatives. We do not distribute, host, pirate, or sell proprietary font binary files (.otf, .ttf, .woff2) of third-party foundries. Our matching suggestions connect you with official licensed vendors or free open-source lookalikes under the SIL Open Font License.
01.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ai Font Detector (located at aifontdetector.com), including our image uploader, vector alignment sandbox, URL inspector, and programmatic endpoints, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our web suite.
02.Intellectual Property & Font Licensing Notice
Typography and font software law varies across jurisdictions:
- Font Software (Binaries): In most countries, including the United States, digital font software (vector control points, TrueType bytecode, hinting instructions) is protected as computer software code. You may not extract or utilize proprietary commercial fonts without purchasing a valid End User License Agreement (EULA) from the respective foundry.
- Typeface Designs: Visual typeface shapes and letterform aesthetics are recognized under distinct legal frameworks. Ai Font Detector facilitates discovery and educational analysis of these visual styles.
- Open Font License (SIL OFL): Our recommended "Free Twins" are licensed under permissive open-source licenses (such as SIL OFL 1.1 or Apache 2.0). These typefaces may be used, modified, and redistributed freely in personal and commercial web and print projects without royalty fees.
03.User Content & Image Warranties
When submitting images, graphics, logos, or PDF documents to our detection pipeline:
- You affirm that you have the right to inspect and analyze the typography contained within the file.
- You agree not to upload content that contains malicious exploit payloads, illegal media, or software viruses.
- You acknowledge that our processing occurs in volatile memory and that Ai Font Detector assumes no liability for client-side transmission errors.
04.Disclaimer of Accuracy & Warranties
Ai Font Detector utilizes state-of-the-art computer vision and neural OCR heuristics to calculate geometric similarity scores. However, typography matching is inherently probabilistic. Due to variable image resolution, low contrast, custom lettering, manual kerning, and distorted photography, match scores represent algorithm confidence rather than absolute legal certification.
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
05.Acceptable Use & Anti-Scraping
You agree not to engage in abusive automated behaviors that degrade the quality of service for other community members:
- No distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks or automated brute-force query flooding.
- No scraping of our font database index without prior written API authorization.
- Rate limits of 30 image detections per minute per IP address are enforced at the network edge.
